Do you feel like you’re NOT yourself?
That’s one of the most common complaints of people living in the modern, Western world. And for many of those people, the source of their varied symptoms can be summed up in a single word: STRESS
With the insights of medical research, we now understand well the toll that stress takes on the body and emotions. We also know that stress takes many forms. Major life changes—such as the loss of loved ones, losing or changing jobs, or moving to a new home—are obvious triggers for stress. And stress from the day-to-day demands and frustrations of modern professional life can be equally damaging to your health and well-being.
Feeling “not yourself” also takes many forms, ranging from vague feelings of low energy to more serious conditions. One common element in virtually all stress-related conditions is FOOD. Eating habits and nutritional imbalances can contribute directly to the problem. At the same time, they can also serve as vital signposts to guide you back to yourself.
FOOD: Mistaken foe and potent friend
Do you constantly crave sweets and carbs? • Have you tried every diet only to regain your lost weight every time? • Are you confused by all the conflicting research and news about what to eat?
It’s all too easy to get locked into an adversarial relationship with food. In fact, food has the positive power to liberate our thoughts and actions, as well as fuel our bodies. Growing awareness of the foods we eat can help us gain control of our health. With good energy and vitality throughout the day, we can better manage stress of all kinds and focus on living the lives we dream of living.
The good news
The wisdom to deal with your stress, restore your health, lose weight and feel great is already inside you. Your inner wisdom wants you to be healthy, vital, energetic, free of excess weight, clear of mind and joyful of heart. Learning to listen to the body helps us know what it needs to be happy.

The role of the holistic health counselor
I provide a welcoming place where you can talk about yourself and know that you will be heard. I listen to what you have to say. I help you reunite with your inner wisdom and cultivate it to create a way of eating that’s right for your body and your life.
Working together we identify what’s not working in your life, and I provide resources and support to help you make positive life changes. Using diet and nutrition as cornerstones, we build a sustainable foundation for living in balance with yourself. What once seemed always just beyond reach now becomes attainable:
- improved health
- abundant energy
- optimal weight
- a more youthful appearance
- resistance to illness
We begin with a one-hour consultation and go from there to define a program customized to your needs and interests. The first step back to yourself can also be the easiest. Please call or e-mail me to schedule an appointment.

“I find special satisfaction in working with clients who have demanding professional and private lives. From my personal experience, I know that many people try to squeeze exercise, healthy eating and relaxation into their weekend and vacations, but once the workday begins, taking care of themselves and their health concerns comes last on the list.
Whatever the source of your stress and the discomfort it is causing you, it will be my privilege to help you develop a graceful and natural plan for making changes that will lead you to a healthier lifestyle.”
